Lille vs Caen

Lille vs Caen
French Ligue 1
Date: Tuesday, 29th November 2016
Given that Lille don’t have a current manager and are in the relegation zone they would have welcomed a 0-0 result at tricky Nantes over the weekend. Every point in their position will do and even though they are still 19th they have a chance to climb out of the bottom three with a win at home to Caen.
Lille has lost their last two games at home, however that was to heavyweights PSG and Lyon. They have yet to draw at home.
Caen are in 15th position and recent form has been poor with just one win in their last five games. True that win was against Nice but when you drop points against Nancy, St Etienne and Guingamp it makes all the hard work fruitless.
Away from home Caen have the worst record in league with no wins from 7 matches and just one draw. They have only scored 3 goals on the road.

Lille vs Caen: Head to Head Stats

Lille has won the last six straight matches at home and has not lost to Caen here this century. The last two games ended 1-0 to Lille. Goals are few in the first half but usually come in the next one.

Lille vs Caen: Prediction

Caen’s terrible away record is set to continue at a ground where they have had very bad luck and games. Lille has the motivation for the win where they have faced already Nantes without a manager and will want to give the home fans something back.
