Roma vs Pescara

Roma vs Pescara
2016/17 Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday, 27 November 2016
Roma will look to rebound after a shock loss last weekend as they welcome struggling Pescara to the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.
The Giallorossi became Atalanta’s latest victim as they failed to deal with La Dea and ended up losing 2-1. That being said, the Nerazzurri have been resurgent as of late and as AC Milan were unable to deal with Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, Roma sit in second spot – albeit tied on points.
However, with the Rossoneri playing first, the Lupi could find themselves in third by the time their match kicks off. Fortunately for them, they have been given a pretty straightforward chance to pick up what should be all three points without much fuss. To date, Pescara still have won one game all season, and that was an administratively handed result. That means that the Delfini still have not won a match on the pitch and having earned promotion at the start of last season, look set for a swift return back down to Serie B.
They have lost their last five games. Only Palermo, who has lost six on the trot have fared worse. Moreover, they have not scored a goal in over a month. That was during a 3-1 defeat to Udinese on October 23rd. Since then, they have conceded nine without reply, including four against Empoli and most recently, three against Juventus.
Losing 3-0 to Juventus was no surprise, but allowing Empoli, who up until then had scored just two goals to put four past them without reply certainly hasn’t done much to boost the confidence of an already struggling side. Massimo Oddo’s men will be up against it as they face a Roma side who are fresh off a comfortable 4-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in Europa League action and who have no problems scoring – or winning – at the Stadio Olimpico.
